Field Maintenance Worker
General Job Description
This position is full-time and reports to the Field Supervisor and to the Senior Field Maintenance Worker. Under general supervision, the Field Maintenance Worker performs responsible operations and maintenance work on the District's water system, vehicles, buildings, grounds and equipment. Serves as "On Call" Worker when required, and assists with field problems which occur during non-duty hours. Performs office work when required.
Job Status: Full-Time, Regular
Salary Range: $34.75 to $40.25 hourly
Benefits:
- Holidays: 104 hours of holidays (13 days), plus 16 hours of floating holidays (2 days)
- Vacation: 80 to 260 hours of vacation (10 days to 30 days), depending on years of service
- Sick Leave: 96 hours Annually
- Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance: For employees and their qualified spouse/domestic partner/dependent(s) with 100% of the premium paid by the District
- Life Insurance: 1.5 times employee’s annual salary, subject to a maximum of $150,000 with 100% of the premium paid by the District
- Retirement: Enrollment in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS)
- 2% at 55 formula for Classic CalPERS Employees
- 2% at 62 formula for New CalPERS Members (Effective January 1, 2013)
- Retiree Health Insurance Benefits: For eligible employees and their spouse or domestic partner. Coverage and premium payment by the District is dependent on years of service
