Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) Reporting
The District is required to develop and implement a sewer system management plan (SSMP).
The SSMP addresses the following elements:
- Goals
- Organization
- Legal Authority
- Operations and Maintenance Program
- Design and Performance Standards
- Overflow Emergency Response Plan
- Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Control Program
- System Evaluation and Capacity Assurance Plan
- Monitoring, Measurement and Program Modifications
- SSMP Program Audits
- Communications Program
It also includes an Appendix - Log of SSMP Changes

Current SSMP
The Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) has been prepared by the General Manager who is also the Legally Responsible Official (LRO) with the assistance of a District Consultant. Click here to download the 2025 SSMP, approved by WWD Board of Directors on July 24, 2025, by Resolution No. 691, Adopting an Updated Sewer System Management Plan, an Overflow Emergency Response Plan, and a Water Quality Monitoring Plan.
As required, the WWD performs an internal audit of the program every three (3) years and it is updated and re-certified by the Board of Directors every six (6) years.
